In close collaboration with Warner Bros. Television, there are more DC TV shows on the air than ever before. A total of 13 DC shows have aired during the 2019-2020 season. Live-action series include “Arrow” (The CW), “Batwoman” (The CW), “Black Lightning” (The CW), “DC’s Legends of Tomorrow” (The CW), “The Flash” (The CW), “Stargirl” (DC Universe/The CW), “Supergirl” (The CW), “Lucifer” (Netflix), “Krypton” (Syfy), “Watchmen” (HBO) and “Pennyworth” (Epix), “Doom Patrol” (DC Universe/HBO Max), and “Titans” (DC Universe). Animated series include “Teen Titans Go!” (Cartoon Network), “DC Super Hero Girls” (Cartoon Network) and “Harley Quinn”(DC Universe). DC’s storytelling will also be adapted for HBO Max, with “Green Lantern,” “DC’s Strange Adventures,” “Aquaman: King of Atlantis,” “DC Super Hero High,” “DMZ” and “Justice League Dark,” all in development for the streaming service.
DC’s film slate is enjoying some big wins in partnership with Warner Bros. Pictures, including “Aquaman” (2018), “Joker” (2019), “Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn)” (2020), “Wonder Woman 1984” (2020), as well as the upcoming “The Batman” (2021), “The Suicide Squad” (2021), “DC Super Pets” (2022), “The Flash” (2022) and “Aquaman 2” (2022). Films in development at New Line Cinema include “Black Adam” (2021), “Shazam! 2” (2022) and “100 Bullets.”
DC, with game publisher and developer Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, is home to the most successful superhero game franchise – “Batman: Arkham.” Other games based on DC characters include the “Injustice” franchise and “Batman: The Telltale Series.” DC’s characters also appear in mobile games, like “DC Legends” and “DC Super Hero Girls Blitz.”
