The Wayans Family “Thugaboo Sneaker Madness” DVD From Warner Home Video

(May 15, 2006 - Burbank, CA) – Inspired by their own childhood experiences, funnymen Shawn, Marlon and Keenen Ivory Wayans lend their unique comedic touch to "Thugaboo," a hilariously heart-warming series of kids animated specials debuting on DVD August 29, 2006 from Warner Home Video following Nickelodeon primetime broadcasts in mid-August. In the tradition of “Charlie Brown” and “Fat Albert,” "Thugaboo" takes a humorous look at the trials and tribulations of nine very different kids. Boasting an impressive all-star voice cast, Shawn and Marlon Wayans are joined by sister Kim Wayans (“In Living Color”), Michael Rapaport (“Dr. Doolittle 2”), George Gore II (“My Wife & Kids”), Aries Spears (“Mad TV”), David Alan Grier (“Life With Bonnie”) and Charlie Murphy (“Chappelle’s Show”). Written and produced by the Wayans brothers, the first special entitled "The Wayans Family Presents … Thugaboo Sneaker Madness," is a back-to-school story with a timely lesson for young viewers. Featuring cool, contemporary original music that both kids and adults will enjoy, the main character D-Roc struggles to prepare for a new school term within his mother’s limited budget. In the process, he learns that it’s not what you wear on the outside, but who you are on the inside that matters most. Subsequent "Thugaboo" specials will premiere on television and be released on home video in the coming months.
