“Justice League Unlimited: Season 2” and “Batman Beyond: Season 3” On DVD From Warner Home Video
(January 3, 2007 - Burbank, CA) — No crime is left unpunished and no mystery left unsolved by the World’s Greatest Super Heroes. Warner Home Video (WHV) and DC Comics capture the intrigue and excitement of these animated heroes with the release of "Justice League Unlimited: Season 2" and "Batman Beyond: Season 3" on DVD. The final 13 episodes of these action-packed series will be available for $26.99 SRP each on March 20, 2007.
Characters from the original series of "Justice League" are joined by a number of new heroes making this final season’s showdown between the Justice League and the Legion of Doom the most suspenseful yet. After years of foiled plots and repeated beatings, the galaxy’s worse villains finally have a plan: strength in numbers! Led by Lex Luthor, the Legion of Doom prepares to dominate the universe. First order of business: destroy the Justice League. Featuring the original seven Leaguers – Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, Martian Manhunter, Green Lantern and Hawkgirl – plus many other favorites, each episode showcases these heroes in battles like you’ve never seen. And just when you think they’ve faced the most unimaginable evils, a dark figure from the past resurfaces to exact revenge on them all. This is a 2-disc collection that any DC Super Heroes fan should own!
The 2-disc set’s DVD extras include:
• Cadmus Exposed: - Here’s a treat for JLU fans still recovering from last season’s “top secret” Cadmus arc. Bruce Timm and other key creative minds behind "Justice League Unlimited" gather for an informal discussion of the entire Cadmus storyline, from its revelation in “The Doomsday Sanction” to the shocker secret in “Epilogue.” Mark Hamill (Star Wars) (a.k.a. “The Joker” and “The Trickster”) brings his unique energy and charm as he moderates the conversation.
• Ever wanted to sneak into a private producer’s screening? Well, here’s your chance. We’re going to roll a trio of “fan favorite” episode acts from the final season of "Justice League Unlimited" (chosen by the producers). Bruce Timm and key creative minds from JLU will be watching the sequences, commenting on specific moments and also discussing the overriding themes and episode highlights of the season. You will not only be able to hear them talk, but will be able to see them as well!
• Music only track of the episode “Destroyer,” complete with an on-camera introduction by Bruce Timm
WHV will also be bringing you the final 13 episodes from the next generation of Batman with over 5 hours of adventures. In "Batman Beyond: Season 3" the hero apprentice becomes an equal! Rage and revenge first motivated Terry McGinnis to steal Bruce Wayne’s high-tech Batsuit. A greater purpose and a sense of justice kept him wearing it. For two years, he patrolled the streets and skies of Gotham City with Bruce as his guide, but in these final 13 adventures from the Emmy®-winning TV series, Gotham’s greatest defender soars as the true hero he is! With all of the high-tech gear and gadgets he needs, plus Bruce Wayne’s instincts, Terry becomes the ultimate super hero. In the final season of the series, the young crime fighter is asked by Superman to join forces with the Justice League to fight evil. The final episode “Unmasked” tells the story of one of Terry’s first missions under the cowl.
DVD extras include:
